Care Plans
After your initial visit, the Doctors will discuss with you some care plans. The length of these plans can change on a case by case, as well as progress basis. For reasons of physiological healing which you will be experiencing, there are three phases which coincide with our care plans.
Phase 1 (Relief Care): You are most likely in pain when you come into our office. Our goal is to get you out of pain and back to life as quickly as possible. Thus, depending on the severity of your issue, it is typical to receive care 2-3 times per week for at least 3 weeks.
During this phase, your tissues are starting to heal properly; ligaments and muscles are starting to relax and joints are beginning to stabilize.
Phase 2 (Corrective Care): You will begin to start feeling changes when this phase begins. Muscles and other tissues are adapting to your adjustments and are starting to function properly. They need be allowed to heal more completely, thereby helping prevent injury. Typically care around 4-6 times per month for 6-12 months.
In this phase, as mentioned briefly earlier, your body is starting to rebuild torn or injured tissues. This phase length is usually the longest as your body needs ample time to deliver the healing materials, rebuild the injured ones, and heal completely.
Phase 3 (Wellness Care): At last, your body has healed and it is important to come in for periodic adjustments!. Usually, these visits are 1-4 times per month, based on your lifestyle, schedule, and health goals.
Much like regular dentist appointments prevent the development and growth of cavities, regular chiropractic visits prevent your joints from becoming fixated again keeping you at peak health.
