The Mission of Core Health & Wellness Center is to create an environment of health to increase the vitality of not only just the individual but those around them by a whole body approach to health, wellness, and well being which will allow our patients to get back to health, back to play, and back to life.
Our motto: Live well, play well, Be Well!
Core Health & Wellness Center was founded in early 2006
Dr. Karl V. Forsberg was born and raised in Reno. After graduation from Reno High school, he attended and received his Bachelors in Sciences from University of the Pacific, in Stockton, CA. From there, he attended and received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West, in Hayward, CA.
Dr Karl has been practicing in the Reno area since he moved back in 2003. After working with many chiropractors in the area, he founded Core Health & Wellness Center in 2006.
Dr. Karl's vision of health care is a whole body approach, which means looking for the underlying cause of disease and pain. In addition to the chiropractic care that he serves his patients with, Dr. Karl works with his patients for rehab care as well as nutritional supplementation and habits. His care plan approaches are very individualized according to who you are. Treatment and care plans are tailored specifically to the needs of each patient. Everyone gets special unique care, babies, children, teens, adults, athletes, and even pregnant soon-to-be mothers (and their accompanying stressed out soon-to-be Dads)!!
Dr. Karl jokes that he practices sort of a Jeet Kun Do approach to adjustment technique. His technique is primarily Diversified, but he has been trained in and utilizes all the most effective parts of other techniques: Activator, Thompson Drop Table, Chiropractic Bio-Physics (CBP), and Gonstead. What really gives Dr. Karl an advantage in patient care is his focus and training for the care of the extremities (ie, shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, ankles, and feet). Dr. Karl also is one of the few doctors certified as a Kinesio-Taping practitioner (CKTP) which gives Dr. Karl an amazing edge in the treatment of patients.
Currently, Dr. Karl is active in the Reno/Sparks area and community. He is a proud and active member of the Sparks Rotary Club, which focus on international and national issues. Also, he recently sat on the Board of Advisers for the Salvation Army of Reno.
